On July 12, the National Textile Industry Advanced Collective, Model Workers and Advanced Workers Commendation Conference was held. The commendation meeting was sponsored by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security and the China Textile Industry Federation, hosted by the National Textile Model Worker Selection and Commendation Office, and the China Textile Workers' Ideological and Political Work Research Association, and supported by Hailan Group Co., Ltd.

The purpose of the commendation meeting is to solemnly commend the advanced collectives, model workers and advanced workers of the national textile industry that have emerged in recent years, encourage and mobilize enterprises and institutions in the national textile industry and 20 million textile cadres and workers to vigorously carry forward the spirit of model workers, labor spirit and craftsman spirit, promote the construction of a strong textile country, promote high-quality development to a new level, and greet the victory of the 20th CPC National Congress with practical actions and outstanding achievements.

The textile industry has a glorious tradition of selecting, learning, striving to be and caring for model workers. The national textile model worker selection and commendation is carried out every five years, which is a systematic project with strong political, policy and industry nature. The selection work has a large workload, a wide range of areas, a long cycle, and many procedures. The "two trials and three publicity" procedures have been strictly implemented. After more than a year, various tasks have been completed with high standards and high quality.

Song Guanglan, deputy director of the Party Building Work Bureau of the SASAC Industry Association Chamber of Commerce, pointed out in his speech that commending model workers and promoting the spirit of model workers is a glorious tradition of the textile industry. For a long time, model workers such as Hao Jianxiu, Zhao Mengtao and Deng Jianjun have emerged in the textile industry, setting an example for the whole industry and even the whole society. Since its establishment, the China National Textile and Apparel Council has taken serving textiles and benefiting people's livelihood as its purpose, actively playing the role of a bridge between the government and enterprises, and has done a lot of fruitful work in assisting government departments to promote the development of the industry. It has played a very important role in the transformation and development. For the future work, she put forward three ideas: first, we should carry forward the spirit of labor and give full play to the role of model workers. Second, we must strengthen the awareness of talents and build a solid intellectual support for sustainable development. Third, we must strengthen the leadership of party building, innovate ideological and political work, and enhance cultural soft power.

Sun Ruizhe stressed that on the basis of the basic achievement of the goal of textile power, the industry has entered a new stage of high-quality development. To scale new heights, we need to be people-oriented and start from people. First, giving better play to the value of workers is the key to the integration of the industry into the double cycle pattern. On the one hand, the global industry needs a global vision. On the other hand, the haze of the world economic downturn is still strong, and the global credit system, market confidence, and investment expectations are under pressure. Sun Ruizhe proposed that taking the commendation meeting as an opportunity, we should firmly grasp the theme of the times to realize the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, vigorously carry forward the spirit of model workers, labor spirit and craftsman spirit, and strive to create a grand team of textile industry workers who have ideals, keep faith, understand technology, innovate, and dare to take responsibility for dedication. First, we must take a firm stand and guide the correct direction of the construction of the industrial worker team with the leadership of the party. We must speak politics with a clear-cut stand, always adhere to the party's overall leadership of the industry, unswervingly listen to and follow the party, and ensure the correct direction of the construction of the industrial worker team. Second, it is necessary to cultivate a good atmosphere for the construction of industrial workers by selecting advanced trees. Sun Ruizhe mentioned that 100 advanced collectives in the national textile industry were commended this time, including 62 front-line collectives (teams and workshops), accounting for 62% of the advanced collectives. In recognition of 324 national textile industry model workers, including 187 front-line workers, accounting for 57.7 percent of the model workers; 77 enterprise leaders, accounting for 23.8 percent of the model workers; and 60 managers and scientific and technological personnel, accounting for 18.5 percent of the model workers. In recognition of 24 advanced workers in the national textile industry, the main body comes from the competent departments of the textile industry and the comrades below the department level of the textile and garment associations.
